Giles Quarme & Associates specialises primarily in the conservation, restoration and alteration of historic buildings, here in the UK and abroad. We are a small friendly firm of architects and require an enthusiastic architect and architectural assistant to work on new buildings in historic contexts and historic restoration. Projects include important historic buildings by Sir Christopher Wren, Nicholas Hawksmoor & GE. Street and high profile private house commissions.
We require two positions to be filled: a qualified Architect and a Part II Architectural Assistant. Candidates should be proficient in AutoCAD LT. Ideally, candidates should have a few years experience, which need not be in conservation, but an enthusiasm for working with and learning about historic buildings is essential. Candidates should have a very good understanding of both written and spoken English.
Our office is located in a converted double height Victorian warehouse within The Walcott Trust Conservation Area, very close to the Imperial War Museum. The closest underground station is Lambeth North and Waterloo mainline station is a 15minute walk away.
Salary will be by negotiation depending on experience, and perks include as many biscuits as you can eat........
We are an equal opportunities employer, and we may consider applicants wishing to work part time.
